  • THE WILDCAT MATMEN placed second in the state during the IHSA 1A Dual Team State Finals, held in Bloomington Saturday. Wilmington defeated Auburn in the opening match (46-34), and followed that up with a win over Olympia in the semifinals (34-28). Wilmington lost the championship match to Lena-Winslow Stockton, but wound up earning a second place trophy and tying the school record for most wins in a season (32).
